EAN taking off
The European Aviation Network (EAN) has taken to the skies. Inmarsat and Deutsche Telekom, together with their technology partners Nokia and Thales have successfully conducted a program of test flights in the UK.
European Aviation Network – Installation of the first LTE antennas in the UK
Deutsche Telekom and Inmarsat have partnered to deliver the world’s first combined LTE-based ground network and satellite network dedicated to aviation passenger connectivity in Europe. Deutsche Telekom will build and manage a new powerful mobile broadband network of approximately 300 LTE sites across Europe. The first antennas in the UK have already been installed.
